I have an announcement to share:
Those who seem as though they too have it altogether, have to hang onto this eternal promise given by our Perfect God!
Whether you are a super-model or homeless, or somewhere in the middle, you will face trouble in this life.
In John 16, the Lord Jesus Christ has a bit to say on the subject. He sums it up when He states:
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will face many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world (verse 33, NLT).
We may be going through a trial right now or are enjoying the “calm before the storm”. The trials and sorrows Jesus mentioned – are brutal. He doesn’t hide this. But He does remind us that He has overcome the world.
Oh friends, we will go through some devastating things in this life, but we never have to go through it alone.
For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you (Hebrews 13:5)‘
Between John 16, Acts 1, and 1 John 4:4, we are given this bigger picture.
Our spiritual weapon in the midst of difficult days and on good days too.
The weapon we need to utilize throughout each day. Because it is THAT good and needed!
The gift of the Holy Spirit isn’t something to only whip out when we are having a bad day. We are given the opportunity to never have to walk alone. And one glorious day, He is going to return as promised and whisk us away to Heaven as reward for trusting Jesus Christ,
A place where there is no more mourning, pain, sorrow, or crying.
Not only will we experience this awaited time of no mores, we will see how He kept His Word – where He did keep all our tears in a bottle.
He has sat with us through every sleepless night. He saw, grieved, held us, and interceded for us.
You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book (Psalm 56:8, NLT).
Come! Choose to follow Jesus Christ and accept His amazing gift of saving you through His suffering, death on the cross, and resurrection on that third day, and see how much He loves you and you’ll never walk alone!
