Characteristics of God Devotions

My Redeemer!

Each day, we are given the opportunity to intentionally worship the Lord, our Savior Jesus Christ.

And He wants all of us.

It isn’t that He only wants our best offerings. But He loves each of us SO much that He wants every crack and blemish. He wants every bit of us. And that is the very moment when He turns our messy lives into something far more beautiful than we could ever imagine.

Tonight, I wrote out Colossians 1 and it reminds me of our God and His awesomeness.

He is the very One who can and will rescue us, as we give ourselves to Him. And He will give us every bit of direction we find ourselves in need of.

Our God is the head of the Church and He has suffered greatly for her. He has suffered far more than we could ever imagine, in being our Savior.

Let us listen in on the last two verses of Colossians chapter one.

“So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.” – Colossians 1:28‭-‬29 NLT

Only our Mighty God who sent His Son to be our redeemer can radically change our lives from the first moment that we say “Yes!” to Christ.

He has carried our sins to the cross, taking all of my shame and punishment for making myself an enemy of God. Our sin separates us from God, and it is only through Jesus the Christ that we are finally reconciled and free to wholly worship Him!
