“You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet (John 13:13-14).”
“ If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).”
The Bible is very clear about what will save us. It isn’t about our good deeds, bank account, or even our physical health (Praise the LORD!!). It is what we believe about God’s Son Jesus Christ! It is about the love relationship we have with our Savior!
I have been saved by His grace! I cannot depend on anyone else’s walk with Jesus, because I most definitely need my own. This is why I need to grow in my relationship with Christ through how devoted and disciplined I am in seeking His face, coming to ask His forgiveness. Because I have been made right with God through Jesus, I am able to strive to walk in His ways and know it is an acceptable offering to the Lord.
I am saved by Jesus Christ, who He is, and what He has done on my behalf. And as I pray and read the Word, He is making me increasingly more like Himself! He is changing me because He loves me and I am forever His!
Question of the Day: Let’s focus on His saving grace today, and how much He wants us as His own people. As you think, pray about sins you have not given over to the Lord. Just you and Him.
