Fierce Battle {Prayer Need}

I have included a prayer need at the end of today’s message. Try not to miss it? Thank you in advance!

Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News.

Philippians 1:27

All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.

Acts 4:32

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong (1 Cor. 16:13).

In this single verse, I am holding onto “above all”. This and the truth that we can honestly aspire to living a life worthy of the Good News about Christ!

Life can be so hard, yet the Lord Jesus promises to never leave us. He is the One who helps us fight our battles.

In this one verse, I am reminded of my need to surround myself with my brothers and sisters in Christ, so we can come together to fight for the faith. I need His Church to help me stay on the correct path – where following Jesus Christ is my greatest desire.

Since beginning the study, publically and in a Facebook group, my anxiety has been relentless – making it especially difficult for me to share. So I ask that you keep praying for me (Stacey) – as I continue to live out my faith in this way. This evening, two months later than this journal entry, I am feeling this fierce battle. Turning to my online Community for your emotional support to keep going.

This is the Gospel. Above all, remembering and loving Jesus, and aiming to be worthy of the salvation I have been given. If my anxiety is a ten because I am sharing about living out our faith – seems worth it, right?

Keep fighting for the faith!

Keep surrounding yourselves with like-minded Christian brothers and sisters,

… who really make sure you feel seen,

who will love you and check on you,

and will support you –

no matter what.

Hang onto those people, and spend time with them.

Maybe even, Learn their love language, so they feel the love. =)

Question of the Day: How can you live out your faith in a tangible way today?
