Knowing this, I am convinced that I will remain alive so I can continue to help all of you grow and experience the joy of your faith. And when I come to you again, you will have even more reason to take pride in Christ Jesus because of what he is doing through me.Phil. 1:25-26
And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.”Rev. 21:5
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!2 Cor. 5:17
Have you noticed how aware Paul is of his purpose in this Scripture? His life was definitely not perfect, but it was purposed by the Lord God!
We live in a world, where we are reminded of our brokenness – where we are taken in as “as is”. Whereas, the Lord God changes us, giving us purpose and restoration. He makes all things new! We simply must come to Him!
God points all of us, through Paul’s writing to a very specific eternal truth: It is what Christ Jesus is doing through me and you that determines our eternal purpose. It is absolutely about Jesus, rather than our set of circumstances.
We are given this amazing opportunity to have our identity defined for us, by our Creator! It doesn’t have to be about what we are able to do, relationship status, etc. It can (and ought to) be about our relationship with our Creator, through His Son and our Savior – Jesus Christ!
It is all about our Savior – the One we choose to worship!
Question of the Day: How can you spend time in prayer and the Bible to discover your eternal purpose?
