The One Constant

“And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters,[that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News. For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ (Phil. 1:12-13).”

“But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death (2 Timothy 4:17).”

Our troubles can help us share the Good News about Jesus Christ. For myself, my troubles definitely have served as a way to share the Good News about Christ! We can tell others about Jesus, the Christ, as He has faithfully stayed by our side when perhaps many others haven’t.I have been hurt greatly by people. But I have hurt others also. The one constant in my life has been the faithfulness of our Mighty God.

Being chronically ill has become a vehicle to share Jesus with others, for we need Someone stronger to depend upon – and – our Mighty God is SO much stronger than I could ever be on my best day. And only God can use our worst and best days to further the Gospel.

“Take my life and use it, Lord. I pray You will help me to depend on You so much more! And help me to communicate with You more, Lord. Please help me to use my life in such a way that it furthers Your Good News about Christ!”

Question of the Day: Has the Holy Spirit used your troubles to draw you nearer to the Lord? Helped you share the Gospel, because of your trials?
