I have to remember all I am expected to share is a bit of my story. It is a tremendous privilege to be saved by the blood of the lamb – through our Savior Jesus Christ! It is an amazing privilege to be able to share the Bible with you all. And, it is a privilege to have the nudges of the Holy Spirit to do or say something, that might make a tremendous impact on another’s life.
Today, Paul reminds us of this word – “privilege”. It is a privilege, not a right or something we are entitled to. It is a privilege, a gift given to us by our heavenly Father and His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ!
“By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ. I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.”Ephesians 3:7-9, NLT
Oh friends, I love the simplicity of verse 7. Not only do we get the privilege of knowing, walking with, being loved by, and hearing from our Mighty God, we are given the opportunity to serve Him by spreading the Good News. We can spread God’s Good News and help turn the world upside down for His glory, even through a simple sentence. After all, He has wholly changed us through a sentence or even a word.
“God saved you by His grace when you believed! (Eph. 2:8a)”
Though not entitled to, He has given us the amazing privilege and gift of spreading His Good News – the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We get to share the treasures of our Mighty God with others, so He can rescue them too.
