Gracefully Overcoming

Living in the Confidence and Hope Found in Christ Alone!

Trusting His Promise of Reward

Today, I want to share with you three specific Scriptures to help you get through what you are going through.

12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. – Matt. 24:12-13, NLT

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. – Romans 5:3-5

12 God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. – James 1:!2

I have no idea what you are facing today, my dear friend. Given this is a trials based ministry, I am going to assume you have had (or will have in the near future) some sort of problem come your way. While we are reminded that we will face problems, we have a Mighty God who is able to help us overcome our obstacles.

Oh friend, if I could tell you everything on my heart at the time of writing this. . . You and I could share a cup of caffeine and pour out our hearts together a bit more intimately. This is the good thing that has come out of my troubles: Gracefully Overcoming. I started writing as my process of learning my plans and world were upside down. Haven’t stopped since. I share a bit more openly in our Facebook Group, since it’s a smaller crowd.

I am getting a bit off track, but all of us have hard things coming our way. Often, or maybe lately, we can become so overwhelmed that we forget about the beautiful rewards we are being given (or will one day receive in Heaven).

These Scriptures remind me that my trials aren’t going to swallow me up. Even though my days (and even nights) are become quite rough waters to navigate, our God is going to keep giving me hope and the strength to endure – and be His loving hands in the process.

I am not perfect, but I am most definitely His!

Trials mean enduring.
Enduring for the believer in Christ Jesus means holding onto King Jesus and remembering His promise on heavenly rewards.

Not only will we be reunited with our Savior Jesus Christ, we will get to see what all of our efforts and enduring and prayers have brought. We get to finally see, Lord willing, what God has done with our every worship sacrifice – big and “small” (I don’t think there is any worship offering, that can be too small. It is all for God’s amazing glory!)
