Hello, my Gracefully Overcoming Community!
How are you honestly doing, in the midst of your own trials and now this COVID19 chaos? Please comment below and share how I can pray and be a source of emotional and spiritual support to you during this time. You can also send me a private message on Facebook and Instagram [or, send me an email at email@example.com]. I want to make sure we stay connected during this time, especially for the confidential needs like prayer requests and one on one conversations.
It is just you and myself. How are you honestly doing? Lately, I have been experiencing a harder time than usual due to the stress and high anxiety levels. I am trying to utilize my nights better, to hopefully draw nearer to the Lord.
When you are ready, grab your Bible and journal and join me. And Lord willing, this devotion will help another connect better in their relationship with our Amazing Savior Jesus Christ who came to save souls and give us brand new life!
Lord Jesus, speak tenderly to our hearts during this time! Help us to see you.
“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure (Ephesians 1:4-5).”
Even Before He Made The World. . .
Our God is in full control. And still, He continually chooses us. He has chosen to adopt us as His children – actual children of the Living God. But, will we accept our God’s free gift through His Son Jesus Christ? Salvation comes only through God alone, by the way of His Son Jesus – the Messiah.
God chose us in advance.
Friends, He is in full control. The current events of this world are definitely not a surprise to our Living God. Because He knows all things. He knew this was going to happen, and will carry us through this difficult time.
What’s crazy to me is – He chose us to be alive right here in 2020. We are not here by accident, because He has chosen us. Before we took our first breath outside of our Mama’s womb, He already knew and loved us beyond words.
Not only has He chosen us, we were chosen in Christ. Some may wonder the significance of this statement, Jesus came, to save, and walks this road with us.
Our identity, for the follower of our Savior Jesus Christ, is wrapped up in Him. It isn’t affected by any panedmic, plague, or problem. When we are fully resting in Him for our identity, nothing of this world can ever cause our identity to even flinch or cringe by current events.
Friends, may we rest in the love of God as we journey with Jesus our Savior and meditate on this adoption He came to make available to us.
