He Will Cover You

In Psalm 91, we are given a beautiful picture of our God’s majesty and protection. Our God is protective of His children.

Join me in the reading of His Word {Ps. 91:1-3} –

“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings, His faithful promises are your armor and protection (NLT).”

Do you ever find yourself wondering how much the Lord has protected you?

Earlier today, I found myself in situation. I have an anxious and jealous house cat whose name is Compassion. I love the opportunities to love and care for him. But, he has two well known triggers for his anxiety: Kids and Cats. Most days, it isn’t a problem until afternoon hits and school is out for the remainder of the day.

But these days, I find myself adding one task to our daily routine. I have to protecting him from noticing the strays, sitting in the stairway – just out of his sight.

God is our good Father, and protects us from much that is just out of our sight. He lives up to who the Bible says He is. He is our true Protector who goes above and beyond. He literally “moves heaven and earth” to act on our behalf. How is He showing Himself as your Protector today? What promise of God are you holding onto?

We may experience great difficulty in our lives. But we need to remember, that our God is good and protects us from so much – on a daily, hourly, and minute by minute level.
