This morning’s song is “Once Again” by Fuse Box. It has already been a rough morning, but I am thankful for the eternal truths and worship songs the Holy Spirit is continuing to put on my heart. Having His precious promises on my heart and in my head (see 2 Peter 1:3-4 below) is going to be what keeps me going. Knowing His truths, love, and unfailing comfort are going to be the source of my hope and help me persevere.
I pray I remember my need to keep feeding my spirit with His Word and memorize His truths. This is what my current trial is teaching me. I need to be bathed in the Word of the Lord. I have been taught that my God is “so big and strong and mighty, and there’s nothing my God cannot do” – and now I am getting the joy of experiencing the mightiness of my God right now. Those words are from a Sunday school song so many of us have been taught (“My God is So Big”). But as we grow, we have to experience this for ourselves. As we place ourselves in a place of surrender, we get to see how God provides and experience Him for who He is. These experiences are exactly how we learn of Christ’s worthiness. He is worthy to be praised. He is our beloved Savior who has come to save us from our sins and so much more. He has come to give us new, abundant life. We need to learn and experience the Lord. As we experience Him in new and fresh ways, we will want to give increasingly more of ourselves to Him.
