I wanted to take a few moments to simply share my goals for this month.
I am very goal oriented. You just might be too. What kind of goals are you setting for the month of November? It’s hard to believe that we are entering the month of November, but HERE WE ARE!!
Here are my goals –
1] Get Healthier Physically: Eat better, using 21 day fix containers/plan (meaning: more plant based). Also, exercise more consistently than I have been. Use OneNote to keep track of how well I am exercising and eating.
Be willing to enter the process of improving food and fitness.
2] Pursuing Jesus Christ: Honestly, I need to keep distractions low, and grow closer in my walk with the Lord. This time of being away has been hard, yet amazing in what the Lord is doing in my life. So, I need to stay on this path of seeking the Lord and how He is wanting to speak to me.
- Be more in the Word, through my daily study time and digital journals.
- Read books, specifically on prayer.
- Seek to memorize or focus on one Scripture per week.
Tip – Stencil/draw each week’s focus verse, and hang up afterwards.
3] Enjoying His People: This is the one area I need your help with. I want to be closer in my relationships with the body of Christ.
The Church is the actual Bride of Jesus Christ. I need community. I heart and chase after deeper community.
I made a small group over on my Facebook, linked with this blog – as a way to grow with the people the Lord has given me.
We are doing Bible studies, similar to what we are doing on this blog. While I am working, praying about, and playing around with ideas for our January study, I am excited to be able to go through the book of Philippians with other women who are finding their true selves in our risen Lord Jesus Christ. Please pray for that endeavor and consider joining us. Stay tuned for updates about our upcoming January Bible study.
These three areas are plenty to focus upon for this month. While I won’t be perfect, I will see growth.
