Keep Us Stronger {{Week 4}}

Today is our very last day for our August study on Isaiah 40. I invite you to join me, as we focus on today’s verses.

The Scriptures – Isaiah 40:31; Hebrews 12:3; Job 17:9

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
    They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
    They will walk and not faint (Isa. 40:31).

“Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up (Heb. 12:3).”

“The righteous keep moving forward,
    and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger (Job 17:9).

God promises to keep us going, when we make Him our place of hope. when we fix our eyes on Jesus, we will walk, run, and fly (or dance) without getting tired-out. Amazing thought, isn’t it? Such a wonderful gift!

 Not only will God give me strength, He promises to keep renewing it. But, I nee to keep doing something first. I need to keep putting all my hope in my Lord Jesus Christ. I need to keep remembering what God has said. I need to keep living out the commands God has given me… given us.

One big thing that comes to mind is – not boasting in my own strength. I need to boast in God and what He has the ability to do – as I give myself to Him.

Today’s passage reminds me to “consider Him”. Jesus went to the cross, despite its shame, so we would not grow weary and lose heart. He has done it all for us, so we will not be alone, discouraged, or weak. God is providing all we need for this very moment. God is acting on our behalf, so we can experience victory!

Jesus makes me stronger!

While many things may claim to make me stronger, Jesus is the One who delivers. Jesus makes me stronger! While He won’t remove every trouble from my life, He is making me stronger than I could ever be. He is equipping me. Everything in my life, God is using to make me stronger!

Lord Jesus, make me stronger! Help me to remember You are making me much stronger than I could ever hope to be. Keep making me new and being my strength!
