My Heart

My Heart: Matthew 3:5-6

People from Jerusalem and from all of Judea and all over the Jordan Valley went out to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River. – Matthew 3:5-6

I want to be a part of something like this!
I want God to use me like He used John the Baptist.
John was chosen by God.
To others, he was probably ordinary.

Lord, my prayer is that You will do this again. I pray You will soft others’ hearts, and help them to realize their need for You. I pray Your children will become aware of the spiritual gifts You have given them, and they will begin praying and seeking about how to use these gifts for Your glory. Help us to be used by You. Remind us to start and keep listening for Your still, small – yet powerful Voice. God, help us to identify Your Voice. Change our world. Help us to be obedient, so this can happen. Please forgive me for all the times You have wanted to use me, but I was far too afraid to “go” where You wanted me to be. Forgive me for my timidity when You wanted me to speak, and I was too afraid to speak. Give me a greater courage to be bold for You, my Lord. Thank You for loving and using me – despite all I am. Be glorified in this, and everything. I ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
