April 15-20 {Goals}

I found this goal technique yesterday. I’d really like to do things like this to keep me goal-oriented, and have it be effective. It can be so easy to set goals, but leave them unattained. It is easy for me to do that anyway. Here are my goals for this week: 4/15-20/14. Goals are especially important during spring break. It can be easy to rather lounge around, or “lose” time when I focus on the wrong things. It can be easy to spend too much time on one or two things, only to miss the rest of the things that need to be done.

(See Mandy’s post…She came up with this format. Go show her some love. She has pretty, printable worksheet for it too.)

Do: There may be more things that need to be added onto my list of things that need to be done. However, this serves as a starting point.

  • Turn Rice Krispies into breadcrumbs.
  • Move TV Stand.
  • Organize parts of bedroom.
  • Prepare for Saturday’s 5k on multiple levels.
  • Wash Dishes (daily).
  • Pick up/Declutter (daily).

  • Daily Reading Plan (Discipleship Journal Reading Plan).
  • Start reading When We Were on Fire by Addie Zierman.
  • 1-2x sections of Luke Study.

Learn: “Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.”” Matthew 16:24

  • Quick to listen.
  • Slow to speak.
  • Slow to get angry. ( <— This one really needs work)

What are your goals for this week? How have you learned to be slower to speak, quicker to listen, and slower to get angry? Have certain things triggered a different reaction than this? If so, what?
